A water bath is a laboratory tool used to heat chemical liquids, soak samples/test objects, incubate bacteria using a certain temperature with water as a medium. In general, the water baths available on the Indonesian market are locally made. The water baths that are produced only have an analog temperature controller and there are no actual temperature detection features, a timer, water level, and a water pump in the chamber/tub, so sometimes laboratory staff have to use additional equipment such as a stopwatch. , ruler, thermometer glass and dipper In accordance with the title above, the author will make a WATER BATH MONITORING DESIGN FOR THE LABORATORY USING ESP32 which is equipped with a DS18B20 temperature sensor, 350 Watt heater, water level, timer and Water Pump. Later the 20 x 4 LCD will display water level, set temperature, actual temperature in the chamber/tub and timer. The water bath can later be monitored remotely via a mobile phone device and if there is a spike in temperature the water pump can be activated remotely using a mobile phone. The impact resulting from this water bath will make it easier for laboratory staff to carry out activities in the lab, especially when monitoring equipment, they no longer need to monitor the equipment directly.
